Detroit Motel on Eight Mile Renamed ‘M-N-M’

“DETROIT (WJBK) — On Detroit’s east side, there’s a motel that used to be known as the American, but it now has a new name that may be familiar to fans of hip hop.

The M-N-M Motel just happens to be on east Eight Mile, but try as we might, there was no sign of the artist who spells his name E-M-I-N-E-M.

Intentional or not, this is nothing new. Remember the Obama gas station in northwest Detroit? And in all fairness, it could easily be a candy reference.

We tried reaching out to Eminem through his label. So far, there has been no comment.”
